God give me Patience! - Issue 364
November 14, 2014
|Hi there! ....
This week the two main changes from our regular study week were going into town for a Remembrance Day service and we had our homeschool co-op. Unfortunately on Remembrance Day the local RSL lacked enough members to run a service, but when the community heard this a few decided to get together anyways. It was one of the best services I’ve been too because it was personal – and the community were involved. Since we visited Anzac Cove a few years back, it does make remembering these men and women more poignant, and having people share about their family members where were there was meaningful. Our goal for this homeschool co-op meet was ‘to enjoy each other’s company’ – the kids had water play under the sprinklers, a slippery slide, and water guns, they then played table tennis, and came inside for some board games. Mums had a few cuppas and enjoyed catching up with each other. A very relaxed morning.

Restoring the Heart, Mind and Soul of Christmas Do your Christmas celebrations line up with what you believe? Do your celebrations help your children learn more about Jesus?
This e-book is based on a workshop I held for a couple of years to help families see that Christmas can be a significant tradition in our family life. If we are intentional about how our family celebrates we have the opportunity to use this time to teach our children about Jesus, and his love for each one of us.
