Inappropriate Verbal Behaviour - Issue 363
November 08, 2014
|Hi there! ....
This week we said goodbye to my brother and his family, and picked up our full time study schedule again. Mango season is in full-swing. Peter was home for a few days enabling him to pick a second run of mangoes with Daniel helping him. We are waiting for the boxes to ripen so we can freeze and dehydrate to top up our supplies for the year.
I have been sorting out my photos – my brother helped me get my computer and backups all sorted – 20 years of family photos is a huge job! Daniel has picked up stop-motion animation again – it never ceases to amaze me how quickly technology is changing, he has had a break for about 6 months, has downloaded new software and some of the issues he had before, just aren’t there. Naomi has been looking into TAFE options for next year – more on that another time.
I have been aware, in a fresh way, of the importance to be parenting the whole child: their physical, emotional, social, intellectual, moral and spiritual. There are times that we judge ourselves harshly because one of these areas become an obvious weakness, and we forget to look at all the positive growth happening in the other areas.
Peter is visiting with his mum and dad over in Queensland – it is time like this, as our parents age, that we feel very far away from family, which is why my family visits this year has been very precious.

Restoring the Heart, Mind and Soul of Christmas Do your Christmas celebrations line up with what you believe? Do your celebrations help your children learn more about Jesus?
This e-book is based on a workshop I held for a couple of years to help families see that Christmas can be a significant tradition in our family life. If we are intentional about how our family celebrates we have the opportunity to use this time to teach our children about Jesus, and his love for each one of us.
