7 Keys to Discipleship Learning - Issue 282
January 11, 2013
|Hi there! ....
Once again this week has been a mix of getting things done and finding time to relax and enjoy our hobbies and each other. Friday and Saturday Peter and I have taken ourselves off to a local motel for a time of planning and thinking about where we are and where we want to go. For that reason there won’t be a newsletter this weekend. Can I encourage you to pop over to my blog though and finish reading the 7 Keys to Discipleship Learning series.
I have found this very challenging myself and will be tweaking some of my plans to be more consistent with the things on our heart for our kids.
I was talking to a friend this week and saying that I don’t believe that a discipleship homeschool means a lack of academics, we are very intentional about the academics that we plan, but the academics needs to find its place in amongst the other priorities and aspects of training our children’s hearts. I hope you can find that balance this year – and that is why I need to tweak, because the plans I've made so far are out of balance.

I blog throughout the week at Live Life with Your Kids!
Restoring the Heart, Mind and Soul of Christmas Do your Christmas celebrations line up with what you believe? Do your celebrations help your children learn more about Jesus?
This e-book is based on a workshop I held for a couple of years to help families see that Christmas can be a significant tradition in our family life. If we are intentional about how our family celebrates we have the opportunity to use this time to teach our children about Jesus, and his love for each one of us.
