Is your Lifestyle working for you? Live life with your kids - Issue 123
October 16, 2009
|Hi there! ....
Each year the churches get together and run the Christmas Carols event in town. This week the choir started their practices. There are several community events throughout the year that play a big part in our children’s education – this is one of them. The Christmas Carols gives the kids an opportunity to be involved in a choir, to work together with others, to receive instruction from another person, to perform in public and to be involved in a church and community event. This year is Daniel’s first year so the girls are busy teaching him the words. Each year they have grown in some way by being involved. I love it when these learning situations rise out of our family activities.

Has the idea of lifestyle – taking life as it comes – taken away your intentionality, purpose and goals for your children? Lifestyle Homeschool is about letting our lifestyle be used to reach our goals. It is about not compartmentalising our life – into family time and learning time – it is about using everything that makes up our life as a part of our educational experiences.
If you feel that the level of intentionality has slipped I encourage you to
Answering these questions will help align your lifestyle with your goals. You may need to use the opportunities your lifestyle already offers or you may need to change your lifestyle in order to be intentional and work towards the things on your heart for your family.
